A classically elaborate motif of scrolls, urns, flowers, swags, tassels and lattices based on Renaissance themes, this machine-embossed pattern is printed in rich leather browns. Shown in Birge Book of Decorative Suggestions, c1924-5. Included among Birge papers featured in the Annual Exhibition of American Industrial Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City. Pattern No. 9106.
The frame is made from pine with an antique gold finish and has UV resistant, non-glare museum glass.
