While we do focus on wallpapers produced before 1930 or so, we appreciate a great design from any era, and have a nice collection of midcentury papers in our collection as well - such as this underwater winner (of which we have just one mint new-old-stock roll).
With a delightful and charming motif of aquatic flora and fauna printed on a black ground with silver highlights, what's not to fall in love with here? Papers featuring sea life were used in bathrooms of the 1950s and early 1960s, and often sported bright - almost neon - colors and whimsical details. We can only imagine what sorts of fun tile colors might have been selected to coordinate with this fantastic undersea scene.
Mounted on ¾” bamboo plywood panel.
While this piece has been sold, we have more of this fabulous paper and can make another piece of wallpaper art, either using this sort of panel treatment or we can arrange for a custom frame based on your requirements. Please inquire.
